Agitated breaks become combined with tweaked arpeggiated synth lines, some cut up vocals, and a few lugubrious tones thrown into the background for good measure. Early releases included IDM tracks under the artist name 'Finch' on the Omniscience Compilation (Sugarmonk/Interchill Records) in 1999 alongside other notable artists. A full-length album under the artist name 'Fasp' was released on the Nishi net-label in 2002. In the years beyond, Hitori Tori has seen a hand full of EPs and releases on net labels such as Peace Off, Meta0, Occult Research Records, and most recently, Kitty on Fire Records. Hitori's live performance videos have received praise in publications such as Computer Music Magazine and Create Digital Music. Hitori Tori was also featured on the Bangface Weekender lineup multiple times.
